As an English pedagogy undergraduate student, I wanted to work on
something related to my field. I dreamed all year long to get a position at a
travel agency guiding tourists throughout Valparaiso hills’. In the same way, I
also wished to get a job at the Pacific Terminal dock, where cruiser ships stopped
by with hundreds of travellers. I tried year after year, but I couldn’t make
it. On my final year at university, I end up translating some emails for a small
company. However, I always had the chance to teach people around me. I chose pedagogy because I enjoy seeing learners
learning. I didn’t try any other career as I didn’t aim to do anything else in
my life.
I´m happy that your experience at university was good. But I have a question: Was that before the pandemic?

ReplyDeleteI think you would be a great teacher of Chilean Spanish. If that is your future job, you’ll help many people from different countries to feel more comfortable speaking Spanish in Chile.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you became a teacher after all. Teaching is important and the feeling of seeing how people are learnig is great. You would be a excellent teacher of Chilean Spanish.

ReplyDeleteI think is amazing that you choosed pedagogy. My both parent are teachers so i know it is a work that implies a lot of dedication, but also implies a lot of passion. And i can see you are really passionate about it, thats very cool!

ReplyDeleteI've heard that Chilean Spanish is difficult for native English speakers to understand, so trying to teach it seems like a good challenge.
